The song by Bob Marley shows with great clarity the struggle that the black african soldiers of the United States army made to secure the country. It was a war that encompassed Comanche,Apache and Commanchero and it was fought to the limits by men who didn't know the words fatigue,cowardice and betrayal. .The first cavalry of Afro Americans was not the 10th.

The 9th Cavalry Regiment was organized on September 21, 1866 at Greenville, Louisiana under the command of Colonel Edward Hatch, and was assigned to the Division of the Gulf under the command of General Phillip Sheridan.tedtoy

 Of course it was a pity that the black soldier had to fight against the truw owners and real owners of America, the Red Indian. (The phrase Red Indian is of course a rascist phrase as it has nothing to do with who these people really were. They had their own names and were nothing to do with Red or Indian just the same as an African has nothing to do with the colour black.)

 The dreadlock rasta called Bob Marley filled the human race with joy and he also filled it with some history about his culture but not about his people because for the great Bob Marley people were one and love was all. The Film Sgt.Rutledge by John Ford was brilliant, it was marred by some crap white liberal sentiment that you always get from Neo-Lib Americans who proclaim themselves the friends of Afro Americans (another rascist phrase) but the scenes of the black cavalry fighting the Apache are without par.

See it again if you can. I was 8 when I first saw it. Me and my friend bunked off school and went to see a re-run (you know one pays the other opens the back door).

The Medal of Honor was awarded to 417 men who served in the Indian Wars. However, only 18 of the medals were presented to black enlisted menl,even though it was these soldiers who had affronted the enemy the most.

.Thus the American nation is after Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy one of the greatest rascist regimes that ever lived ,as the black soldier opened up America and they did it singlehandedly.Black military history has been wiped clean from the annals of the American armed forces but now we are trying to address that, even this blog, in its own small way.I'll try and tell it the way it was.
