Norman Abbey - Diorama - "Skirmish in the Mamund Valley - an Incident During the Malakand Field Force Expedition - Northern India, 1896", comprising: a bespoke diorama executed by Norman Abbey [responsible for many competition winning dioramas of the 1970's including a large representation of the Battle of Isandhlwana featured in Military Modelling] which depicts a skirmish involving the young Winston Churchill. Mounted on a semi-circular baseboard measuring [15 x 11 x 8 inches / 38 x 28 x 20cm] with an engraved brass name plate to the front. The Diorama includes - 11 x 54mm figures [by Sanderson] set within modelled Terrain with Tribesmen in the distance being represented in semi-solid form.
